For Spanish clients this is unusual as they are more familiar with entertaining family and friends in a restaurant of choice but for Norther, European, Brits and North American visitors and residents then home entertaining – whether a gathering and celebration of a special day or something more intimate such as a business related dinner – teh we have the answer.

All rooms have received their annual Spring clean and redecoration. We took the opportunity to update some of the light fittings in the rooms and also all shower-room ceilings.  And the pipework that feeds the showers – some idiot in the 1960′s put steel piping throughout the building and over time and being embedded in concrete this had rotted and over the “closed” season we had to renew these and repair some leak damage.

We received a clean bill of health from the local authority for our water supply – they carry out independent testing of ALL hotel rooms and office and public bathrooms and kitchens twice a year for  infection/contamination, especially legionella.  The infection is rare and we have, as I would expect, passed with flying colours each time but it is good to know that the local authority provides this check-up for owners and guests alike.

Also the certificates for our fire extinguishers have been renewed for 2008 (all in functional order)  and that for the fire sprinkler system, making us one of the best equipped hotels in Sitges!  I am afraid some of our rivals don’t have some of these systems and safeguards.
